3. MBK Mall - BTS National Stadium
MBK, which is the abbreviation of Mah Boon Kong, is a very popular shopping center for locals and especially foreigners. 4. Terminal 21 - Asok Intersection
A stylish market style shopping mall located at the heart of Bangkok, at the Asok intersection where MRT and BTS cross each other. 5. Emporium - Phrom Phong
A luxury shopping mall located in Phrom Phong district. Besides, fashion and accessoiries, you can also find houseware, furniture and sports gear. 6. Platinum Fashion Mall - Pratunam
A 7-floor shopping center, filled with fashion items for the young and old. It specialized in wholesale fashion, accessories, shoes and jewelry. Most stores sell wholesale and retail and therefore do deals for bulk amounts. Very popular with locals and foreigners from South- and South-East Asia. It’s packed in every weekday. 7. Future Park - Rangsit/ Phatum Thani
Located between Rangsit and Pathum Thani, the northern part of Bangkok’s metropolitan area. This mall is a huge shopping center and entertainment park. Mainly serves local middle-class families and households, housing branches of Robinson, Index Living Mall, Home Pro, Big C, Office Depot, Tops and Fitness First. On a total retail area of 280.000 sq.m., this place hosts more than 200.000 people per week. As for entertainment, there is a cinema, bowling center and an indoor alpine ski center.
8. Emquartier - Phrom Phong
A futuristic upscale shopping complex, consisting of 3 buildings. Located opposite of Emporium, at BTS station Phrom Phong. Architechture-wise, its futuristic design combines a pure white concept with nature’s green elements. Besides numerous fashion shops, renowned labels and boutiques, the upper floors harbor a tropical garden with a waterfall and a panoramic view. There is a food court in the basement and an extended dining hub at the so-called Helix-Quarter, where restaurants are aligned in a unique DNA spiral shape. Also, there is VIP cinema.
9. MegaBangna - Bangna
A large regional shopping mall, serving local families and households with everything under one roof. Opened 2012, this shopping and dining complex includes major retailers like Home Pro, Big C, Robinson and IKEA. Very popular in its surrounding area. Has a Major Cineplex cinema and a huge car park.
10. Fortune Town - Ratchada
IT mall, located in Ratchada, at MRT station Rama 9. Specializes in computers & accessories, technology items, electronic consumer goods and CCTV systems. Several shops offer repair services for computer hardware and mobiles phones for relatively cheap prices. Included are a supermarket, fast-food chains and a food hall. Can become crowded on weekends.
11. Gaysorn Shopping Centre - Ratchaprasong, Chitlom
Considered a rival to other luxury malls of Southeast Asia, Gaysorn houses flagship luxury boutiques of foreign designer labels such as Gucci, Prada and Louis Vuitton. In contrast to other Bangkok malls, this place is not overcrowded, as the premises are oversized. The innovative retail concept combined with its exclusive décor makes this luxury complex an exquisite shopping destination.
12. Union Mall - MRT Phahon Yothin
Located near MRT station Phahon Yothin, Union Mall is a local outlet mall with focus on retail and wholesale clothing, shoes and accessories. You can find good quality for little money. It is often compared with Platinum Fashion Mall. This mall is less known among foreigners; however, its popularity is rising. On a retail area of 150.000 sq.m. Union mall is housing more than 1200 shops and booths. Included is a food court and a food hall with various restaurants.
13. The Mall Bangkapi - Bang Kapi
The Mall Bangkapi is located in Bangkapi district and is one of Bangkok’s larger shopping malls. Besides renowned international labels, this mall also houses numerous boutiques and shops with local brands. Having a large dining hall and a state-of-the-art SF cinema, this place is unique due to its Aqua park on the roof.
